All-Abilities Choir for Fall 2026

Details for Fall 2026 All-Abilities Choir:

The theme for this year’s music set was decided, in part, by last year’s choir — they wanted rock ’n roll, specifically, the 80s! The set will include "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears, "Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" by The Eurhythmics, and "Africa" by Toto.

Block 1 includes:

6 scheduled rehearsals - Thursdays 6-8pm in August, Sundays 2:30-4:30pm in September (after Labor Day)

Thursday 6-8pm on August 6, 13, 20, & 27

Sunday 2:30-4:30pm on September 13 & 20

2 performances:

Saturday, Sept. 19th - dRC Fall Family Festival at the Fxbg Fairgrounds (time/details TBD)

Friday, Sept. 25th - STEP VA Gala at Old Silk Mill (time TBD; returning singers, please note the change in location!)

*Additional Dress Rehearsal may be added, if needed

Block 2 includes:

6 rehearsals on Sundays 2:30-4:30pm

Sundays, October 11, 25, November 8, 22, December 6, 13

Expected to include 2 performances:

Dates/times TBD and may include holiday singing

Frequently Asked Questions:

(1) Do I need to have experience to join the choir?

No! This choir is all-abilities and we mean it! Whether you’ve never sung before or you’ve sung in Carnegie Hall, this choir welcomes singers of all levels!

(2) If I’ve never sung before, how will I learn the music?

First, you’ll learn music at rehearsals with your fellow singers. Second, we provide practice tracks for you to sing with at home. You’ll have access to a Google folder that has all the info you need to get comfortable with the music.

(3) Can my friend and/or family join?

Yes! This choir is a community choir so we welcome friends and family members, too!

(4) Is there a discount for both blocks or for multiple singers in one family?

Yes! If you are registering for both blocks (the full season) of All-Abilities Choir, use coupon code CHOIR2026. For additional singers, use coupon code MULTIPLESINGERS.
