Drumming4Every1 (morning) Camp, 2025

 STEP VA's newest summer camp is Drum Camp, offering two sessions off the bat. Open to participants ages 8-23. It runs July 14-18, 9 am – noon or 1-4 pm at Spotsylvania High School. A collaboration with certified Drum Circle Facilitator Ray Nelson, drum camp offers inclusive and safe drumming experience where students learn the basics of rhythm, hand drum technique, simple rhythms, and percussion skills on a variety of percussion instruments as well as learning beginning musical concepts.

"Come drum the day away with us at the Drumming 4 Every 1 summer camp! Each camp is three hours long, and campers will learn to play West African drums and percussion, basic music knowledge, how to play along with others, and various rhythm games and dances. Our camps culminate in a recital, where parents and friends are invited to attend and see what their campers have been working on all week." -Ray Nelson
