Drumming 4 Every1

Join instructor Ray Nelson for an inclusive and safe drumming experience where students learn the basics of rhythm, hand drum and percussion techniques, ensemble play, and timing skills while working through various parts of the World Music Drumming curriculum. Students will walk away with an understanding of musical concepts like call and response, son clave, counting, and other beginning musical concepts. Additionally, participants will learn to enhance their self-regulation and social skills through our community-based instructional method.. 

Drumming 4 Every1 Session 1: 6-7pm

Newer drummers, those that haven't drummed recently, or those that need additional instruction should select the 6-7pm session. Participants who would only like to participate in Drumming 4 Every1 (not Exploring Dance through Musical Theater), can also select this time, even if they are more experienced.

Drumming 4 Every1 Session 2: 7-8pm

Students with recent drumming experience should select the 7-8pm class time, which will introduce more challenging rhythms and concepts.

Exploring Dance through Musical Theater

Movement educator and dance instructor Samantha Hendrix will take new or experienced dancers on a fun exploration of movement and various styles of dance using musical theater techniques.

Exploring Dance Session 1: 6-7pm

More experienced dancers, including those who take weekly classes somewhere else, can select the 6-7pm session.

Exploring Dance Session 2: 7-8pm

Newer dancers, those who have not taken many dance classes, or those who need additional instruction or support should select the 7-8pm session. Participants who would only like to participate in Exploring Dance (not Drumming 4 Every1), can also select this time, even if they are more experienced.
